So you are up to your eyeballs with stress and all you want is for the "big day" to be over, ugh. Well in Ancient Nubia weddings often took up to forty days of celebrations and rituals. That can make any bride run screaming for the exits. But it is also tradition for the groom to send several gifts, usually garments for the bride, her mother, and sisters.
